Manipal University College Malaysia is chuffed to bits to celebrate Dr. Radzi Hamzah, a trailblazer in Global Surgery and Neurosurgery. As the first Malaysian to complete Harvard’s prestigious programme, Dr. Radzi has led transformative health initiatives, including upgrading neurosurgery centres in Afghanistan and Sierra Leone. His collaboration with WHO and AIIMS India has shaped trauma systems across India.
Representing Harvard, Dr. Radzi’s voice resonated at the United Nations and World Health Assembly. His expertise shone at the World Congress of Brain Surgery, where he delivered a keynote and chaired sessions. With over 30 scholarly works and a revitalised anti-racism curriculum under his belt, Dr. Radzi’s mentorship at Harvard has guided many.
Awarded the ‘Lisa Hannegan Humanitarian Scholarship,’ he embodies the spirit of service. Dr. Radzi’s vision extends to enhancing public health in Malaysia, bringing his global experience home.
